'63 Impalas
A Favorite When Growing Up

The chrome on this 1963 Impala Super Sport glistened in the morning sun as Cruisin' OC kicked off another beautiful day. The luminous red body appeared more vivid because of its extreme white interior. "When I was growing up, I loved the 63's and the 64 Impalas," said Alfred Hudson of Snow Hill, Maryland. "The white interior gives it a nice background, any color you put with it just stands out." For the extensive chrome work he credited the Chrome Factory in Marlow Heights, Maryland. "I've been dealing with them for the last 3 years."

Owner of Hudson's Auto Body in Pocomoke, Alfred does body work, customizing and insurance claims. He spent 3 years painstakingly restoring his Impala, including the stylish rolled and pleated interior. Alfred's wife, Anna, used to work in the business with him, but now their son, Quin, has taken her place. "My son has a Camaro that we are restoring for ourselves," he said. "I attend shows about twice a weekend during weather like this, I do all the Super Chevy meets."

You can contact Alfred at Hudson's Auto Body in Pocomoke, Maryland, phone 410- 632-3472.
