Fins, Flames and
50's Nostalgia
Kevin Michael Heats Up OC
Kevin Michael's 1959 Cadillac was quite an attraction at Cruisin' OC. "I love 59' Cadillacs, can't beat the fins, the taillights are one of the most copied taillights used in customizing these days," he said. "I put air bags on and set it on the ground." He coated the car with a stark gray primer to give it a nostalgic custom culture look.
Kevin, from Lititz, Pennsylvania, is a mechanical engineer. "I build choppers on the side, and hot rods. I've been in it all my life with my dad." He continued, "I'm a young guy in the nostalgia 50's thing and I think a lot of people ought to get into that, that where it's at. Stay away from those new cars, new cars don't have any style. The old cars have style!" (See the story about Kevin's dad, Jerry Michael.)
