1970 'Cuda' Built
for Race and Show
by Father and Son
Paul Moore and his father add a splash of color to the Ocean City scene with their pink pearl 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda'. The dashed racing stripe that fades to the back gives an illusion of speed even before you notice the parachute and wheelie bars that certify the car for drag racing at the Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek. The speed comes from a 547 cubic inch Stroker motor and a two-state nitrous system. "It's pretty fast," said Paul. "It has fiberglass doors, front end, dash, hood, anything to lighten up the car. We went from 3700 pounds to 2800 pounds. It helped a lot."

Although Paul and his father specialize in paint and body work, this 'Cuda' is a father and son project both inside and out. They have owned the car for 10 years and race near their hometown of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. "We race for fun," said Paul. "The car is legal and safe." Danielle accompanied them to 'cruise in OC' and enjoys the race and show atmosphere.
